A casa de criar promove, neste sábado (26/7), às 16h, na região norte de São José do Rio Preto, o primeiro encontro do clube de leitura da casa, e na próxima segunda-feira (28/7), às 19h, mais uma edição de videoclipe: encontros fragmentados. As atividades fazem parte do projeto casa de criar: manutenção, resistência e corpo ativo, que celebra os 10 anos de trajetória do espaço independente de arte e formação comandado pelo artista visual juny kp! e pela escritora Carolina Manzato.
No primeiro encontro do clube de leitura da casa, que tem como convidado o professor e pesquisador Raul Medeiros, mestre e doutorando em Letras pelo Ibilce/Unesp, será apresentado o romance de estreia do escritor cearense Stênio Gardel: A Palavra que Resta (2021).
Segundo a escritora Carolina Manzato, que comanda a casa de criar ao lado do artista visual juny kp!, o clube de leitura da casa é voltado para a formação de leitores literários, com um convidado apresentado uma obra e um autor a cada encontro da programação.
Livro vencedor do National Book Award 2023 de melhor obra traduzida de literatura, A Palavra que Resta narra a trajetória de Raimundo, homem analfabeto que, na juventude, teve seu amor secreto brutalmente interrompido e que por 50 anos guardou consigo uma carta que nunca pôde ler.
Com uma narrativa sensível e magnética, Gardel conduz os leitores pelo passado de Raimundo, permeado de conflitos familiares e da dor do ocultamento de sua sexualidade, mas também das novas relações que estabeleceu depois de fugir de casa e cair na estrada, ressignificando seu destino mais de uma vez.
Nova MPB
Na segunda-feira (28/7), às 19h, juny kp! comanda mais um encontro voltado à linguagem e estética do videoclipe, desta vez tendo como recorte temático as obras produzidas por artistas da música popular brasileira contemporânea, conhecida como nova MPB.
Segundo juny kp!, ao longo do ano serão realizados sete encontros fragmentados, dois deles pelo projeto casa de criar: manutenção, resistência e corpo ativo, e cinco pelo Hip Hop em Rio Preto: volta às origens, rumo ao futuro.
10 anos de história
O projeto casa de criar: manutenção, resistência e corpo ativo marca a reforma estrutural da sede da casa de criar, visando à expansão da acessibilidade e da inclusão em suas atividades.
Mobilizando uma diversidade de conhecimentos e linguagens artísticas, a programação envolve, além do clube de leitura da casa e do videoclipe: encontros fragmentados, a matinê da casa, encontros para dançar, envolvendo encontros que buscam estimular no público a conexão entre corpo e mente; o calendário de exposições de arte contemporânea, com exposições com vernissage e visitação guiada; o @projetonacidade, com projeções de obras audiovisuais; e as rodinhas literárias, com encontros voltados ao incentivo da leitura literária para as infâncias.
A programação do projeto casa de criar: manutenção, resistência e corpo ativo será realizada ao longo de 2025 e todas as atividades são de graça.
