Como parte da campanha de férias de julho, o Riopreto Shopping realiza um evento especial para os fãs de quadrinhos e cultura brasileira. No dia 12 de julho, às 9h, na Praça 6 de Eventos, acontece o lançamento da HQ “Chico Bento – Viola”, escrita e ilustrada por Orlandeli, dentro do prestigiado selo Graphic MSP, que convida artistas nacionais a reinterpretar personagens clássicos de Mauricio de Sousa. Nas últimas semanas, o livro foi lançado em São Paulo e no Rio de Janeiro.
A nova obra marca a terceira incursão de Orlandeli no universo de Chico Bento. Antes dela vieram Chico Bento – Arvorada (2017), finalista do Prêmio Jabuti e ganhador do Troféu HQMix, e Chico Bento – Verdade (2022), vencedor do CCXP Awards e do Troféu Angelo Agostini. Em Viola, o personagem descobre que seu avô Firmino — a quem nunca conheceu — foi um grande violeiro. Ao receber como herança a viola do avô, com apenas duas cordas, Chico embarca em uma jornada de autoconhecimento e conexão profunda com suas origens.
O evento contará com sessão de autógrafos com o autor, música ao vivo com violeiro caipira e uma apresentação especial do escritor e jornalista Romildo Sant’anna, responsável pelo texto da quarta capa da HQ e um divulgador e estudioso da cultura caipira.
Reconhecido nacional e internacionalmente, Walmir Américo Orlandeli já teve trabalhos publicados em veículos como Folha de São Paulo, Época e Superinteressante, além de ser quatro vezes finalista do Jabuti e vencedor de prêmios como Salão Internacional de Humor de Piracicaba, HQMix, CCXP Awards e Prêmio Abril de Jornalismo. Seu portfólio reúne títulos como Eu matei o Libório, Grump, O Mundo de Yang, SIC, Daruma e a série Lusco Fusco, entre muitos outros.
