Olímpia (SP) espera mais de meio milhão de turistas nas férias de julho

Estância Turística recebeu mais de 2 milhões de visitantes de janeiro a junho, aumento de 17,6% em relação ao mesmo período de 2024

A Estância Turística de Olímpia se prepara para receber mais de 500 mil turistas durante as férias escolares de julho, um crescimento de 52% em relação ao mesmo período de 2024. O levantamento é do Observatório do Turismo de Olímpia (OTO), em parceria com o Centro de Inteligência da Economia do Turismo (CIET) do Governo do Estado de São Paulo.

A projeção indica 369.863 turistas hospedados em meios de hospedagem regulares, 62.104 em casas de temporada registradas e 77.128 visitantes “day use” que passam o dia na cidade sem pernoitar. A taxa média de ocupação hoteleira prevista é de 66,78%, índice expressivo considerando que Olímpia possui uma das maiores redes hoteleiras do Brasil, com mais de 35 mil leitos.

Crescimento

Os dados comparativos entre 2024 e 2025 mostram o vigor do setor turístico olimpiense. No primeiro semestre de 2025, a cidade registrou taxa média de ocupação hoteleira de 45,48%, superior aos 29,92% do mesmo período em 2024 – crescimento de 52%. O fluxo de turistas também apresentou evolução positiva, com 2.073.900 visitantes no primeiro semestre de 2025, contra 1.763.171 em 2024, aumento de 17,6%.

Janeiro liderou o ranking de visitação em 2025, com 515.977 turistas e taxa de ocupação de 66,18%, seguido por março (402.338 turistas e 51,50% de ocupação).

“Olímpia vive um momento histórico no turismo. Esses números refletem investimentos constantes na infraestrutura e na qualidade dos serviços oferecidos. A expectativa de meio milhão de visitantes em julho consolida nossa posição como principal destino de turismo familiar do país”, afirma o prefeito Geninho Zuliani.

Atrativos

O crescimento está diretamente relacionado aos atrativos de nível internacional da cidade. O Thermas dos Laranjais, segundo parque aquático mais visitado do mundo, preparou programação especial para as férias, incluindo suas atrações favoritas como a montanha-russa aquática, praias artificiais com ondas, Rio Selvagem e o complexo de toboáguas. O parque também está na reta final da construção do Nações, um dos maiores complexos de toboáguas do mundo, previsto para ser inaugurado em dezembro deste ano.

“Julho sempre é um mês muito especial para nós. O parque, de águas naturalmente quentes, fica mais colorido com as famílias aproveitando as atrações, e a cidade como um todo vive um clima diferente. Olímpia se transformou graças ao turismo e o Thermas tem muito orgulho de fazer parte dessa história de sucesso”, destaca Jorge Noronha, presidente do Thermas dos Laranjais.

Outro atrativo importante na cidade é o Hot Beach Parques & Resorts. Para as férias de julho, o quinto parque aquático mais visitado da América Latina tem como destaque a renovação de sua praia artificial, que ganhou 1.620 toneladas de areia novinha, especialmente desenvolvida para oferecer mais conforto, segurança e beleza.

“Nossa praia está ainda mais bonita, segura e gostosa para caminhar descalço, tomar sol e outras atividades”, afirma Brunno Theodoro, diretor de Parques do Hot Beach Parques & Resorts. Outra novidade é o planetário montado na Vila Guarani, um cinema 360° que leva crianças e adultos a uma jornada pelo espaço e pelas profundezas da Terra, onde está o Aquífero Guarani – o mesmo que também abastece as águas naturalmente quentes do parque. Na Vila Guarani, parque seco do complexo, são 11 brinquedos para todas as idades e shows noturnos.

Impacto econômico

O secretário de Turismo, Beto Puttini, destaca o fortalecimento contínuo do destino: “Olímpia vem se consolidando cada vez mais como referência nacional em turismo de lazer e familiar. Essa expectativa alta de visitação é resultado de planejamento, investimentos e da união entre poder público e trade turístico para oferecer uma experiência cada vez mais qualificada aos nossos visitantes. As férias de julho representam o segundo melhor período de visitação no ano, isso porque, mesmo com as temperaturas mais baixas, os parques de águas quentes são muito procurados pelas famílias.”

A cidade ainda aguarda marcos importantes para ampliar sua vocação turística: o Aeroporto Internacional, previsto para 2027, e a construção do novo Centro de Convenções, iniciativas que devem expandir o alcance para turismo de eventos e negócios.

Instituído pela Lei Municipal n.º 5.060, de 26 de março de 2025, o Observatório do Turismo de Olímpia (OTO) é um núcleo de inteligência de mercado que analisa o comportamento do turismo através de pesquisas, levantamento de dados e elaboração de indicadores. A pesquisa sobre as expectativas para julho foi realizada entre os dias 25 e 26 de junho com 18,75% dos meios de hospedagem, correspondente a 69,82% dos leitos, com margem de erro de 1 ponto percentual e 99% de confiança.
