Festival Dom Peixito reúne 340 nadadores em Rio Preto no sábado

Evento será realizado na Aquática com atletas de quatro cidades

A Aquática Escola de Esportes realiza neste sábado, 12 de abril, mais uma edição do tradicional Festival Dom Peixito, evento que celebra a natação com espírito de confraternização, incentivo ao esporte e muita diversão. O festival acontece das 8h às 12h, na piscina olímpica da Aquática, em Rio Preto, e vai reunir 340 nadadores, com idades entre 6 e 25 anos, além de três atletas masters com mais de 50 anos.

O Dom Peixito tem a participação de alunos da Aquática e também de escolas e academias das cidades de Catanduva, Votuporanga e José Bonifácio. O evento, não tem caráter competitivo já que o principal objetivo é motivar os jovens a demonstrarem tudo o que aprenderam na natação, com um ambiente acolhedor e festivo. Ao final das provas, todos os participantes recebem medalhas de participação.

“O Dom Peixito é uma grande celebração da natação. É um evento que incentiva a prática esportiva desde cedo, valoriza o esforço dos alunos e mostra como a natação pode transformar vidas, tanto no desenvolvimento físico quanto no bem-estar emocional”, afirma Walter Helena, diretor da Aquática.

A maioria dos 340 inscritos tem entre 6 e 10 anos, faixa etária que dá início as competições logo após a cerimônia de abertura. O evento começa às 8h, com o aquecimento dos atletas. Às 8h45, tem a execução do Hino Nacional e na sequência começa o Festival. Das 9h às 10h, acontecem as provas das crianças com idade entre 6 e 10 anos. Das 10h às 11h30 são realizadas as provas da segunda etapa para nadadores a partir de 11 anos.

Além da Aquática, estão inscritos para o Festival Dom Peixito, atletas da Academia Água Viva, de Catanduva; SMELT (Secretaria Municipal de Esportes, Lazer e Turismo), de José Bonifácio; Academia Moviment, de José Bonifácio; Equipe da Prefeitura Municipal de Votuporanga e Academia Nado Livre, de Votuporanga.
