De 17 a 26 de julho, festival ocupa 18 espaços com teatro, dança, performance, intervenções, música, mostra de teatro lambe-lambe, oficinas e plataforma de desenvolvimento da cena local

De 17 a 26 de julho, o Festival Internacional de Teatro de São José do Rio Preto (FIT Rio Preto) apresenta uma programação pulsante e diversa totalmente gratuita que contempla todos os públicos, com espetáculos internacionais inéditos no país e nacionais premiados de vários gêneros, formatos e temáticas. As atividades se espalham pelas 10 regiões da cidade, garantindo a descentralização a fim de ampliar o acesso. Serão 47 obras, num total de 111 apresentações ao longo de 10 dias, que ocupam 18 locais. Além de teatros, ruas, praças e espaços alternativos servirão de palco para receber a programação. Participam artistas de nove estados brasileiros e da Alemanha, Argentina, Chile, México e Uruguai.

Realizado pela Prefeitura Municipal de São José do Rio Preto, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, o FIT Rio Preto chega em 2025 a 56 anos de história e 23 anos de edição internacional. Evidenciando a pluralidade das artes da cena, as atividades desta edição envolvem teatro, dança, performance, intervenção, experiência em realidade virtual e teatro lambe-lambe, gênero com uma mostra inédita dentro do festival, que traz ainda outra novidade, a plataforma de desenvolvimento da cena rio-pretense, e conta com oficinas, ponto de encontro e feira de artesanato.

“O FIT 2025 está chegando — e é com orgulho que celebramos esse festival plural, acessível e transformador. De 17 a 26 de julho, Rio Preto respira teatro em cada canto da cidade, da praça ao palco, do centro à periferia. O FIT é de todos nós — vamos juntos viver mais essa edição histórica”, considera o prefeito, coronel Fábio Candido.

Para o secretário municipal de Cultura, Robson Vicente, “o FIT Rio Preto 2025 transforma a cidade inteira em palco, reunindo arte, diversidade e excelência: mais que um festival, é um encontro entre criadores e público, que celebra a potência da cena local e internacional”. “É da cidade, com a cidade e para a cidade — viva essa festa com a gente!”.

Atrações internacionais

A jornada começa no dia 17 de julho, às 20h, no Anfieatro Nelson Castro, na Represa Municipal, com o espetáculo argentino “8cho”, da companhia de dança aérea Brenda Angiel, coreógrafa e diretora artística, precursora mundial do gênero. A montagem incorpora os diversos ritmos do tango e inspira-se em um de seus famosos passos. Acompanhados por uma orquestra de sete músicos, sete bailarinos ficam suspensos por cordas e arreios para criar uma nova espacialidade e outras possibilidades para o tango, mantendo a sensualidade, nostalgia, humor e poder expressivo desse tradicional estilo na Argentina. A direção musical é de Juan Pablo Arcangeli (membro original do grupo Astilleros) e a orquestra inclui, entre outros, o cantor Alejandro Guyot. A abertura contará com acessibilidade em Libras, assim como diversas outras sessões ao longo do evento.

O Anfiteatro terá apresentações em duas noites nesta edição e a mesma companhia argentina retorna ao palco às margens da Represa com “MOVI”, criação para todas as idades, uma experiência imersiva na qual corpos dançantes suspensos no ar e imagens se fundem, surpreendendo com um jogo de luz, videomapping e música original.

Os gestos e a ludicidade dão o tom no mexicano “Amanhecer com Guarda-chuvas”, produção de Maribel Michel Cía e Irónico Retrueque que brinca com o teatro e o movimento a partir de duas personagens, uma mulher de estatura alta e outra baixa, em convergência na história como opostos complementares. O espetáculo convida cada pessoa da plateia a criar seu próprio sonho.

Reflexões acerca de questões urgentes também pautam montagens internacionais na programação. No solo alemão “A Vingança de Iphigênia”, a atriz e dramaturga Lilly-Marie Vogler vai à tragédia grega para expor papéis herdados e questionar expectativas de gênero e estruturas de poder patriarcais. Coprodução Brasil e Uruguai, “O Errático Comportamento dos Seres”, com texto e atuação de Agustina Pezzani, Beatriz Sayad e Verónica San Vicente e direção de Florencia Santángelo, acompanha três mulheres durante uma reunião de condomínio para explorar o absurdo das relações e dos comportamentos humanos, por meio de uma linguagem clownesca e delirante.

A curadoria desta edição é assinada pela atriz-pesquisadora, produtora, arte-educadora e gestora cultural cearense Dane de Jade e pelo jornalista e crítico teatral rio-pretense Dib Carneiro Neto. “Tem teatro para todas as tribos, todas as idades, todas as paixões. É FIT para todos. O teatro é assim, celebra a arte que pulsa em cada esquina, valoriza os artistas que transformam territórios com sua presença e segue sendo palco da diversidade, da memória e da invenção coletiva. O teatro vive – e nos reinventa”, comenta a curadoria.

Multiplicidade nos palcos

Um panorama que celebra a diversidade das criações teatrais país afora, incluindo obras ganhadoras de algumas das principais premiações nacionais, marca a programação do FIT Rio Preto 2025. As regiões Norte, Nordeste, Sudeste e Sul são representadas por espetáculos do Amazonas, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina e São Paulo.

Vencedor do Prêmio Shell 2024 na categoria destaque nacional, “As Cores da América Latina”, da Panorando Cia e Produtora (Manaus/AM), possui como norte a corporeidade de três manifestações do território homenageado: a Fiesta de la Tirana (Chile), Huaconada (Peru) e Cavalo-Marinho (Brasil), em intersecção com a dança e o teatro. A visualidade da obra faz uso de cores vibrantes e seis máscaras de “Fofão”, personagem do carnaval maranhense, apresentando a história do último Fofão, como uma ode de alumbramento a tradições latinas.

Também ganhadora do Shell, edição 2025, a adaptação da tragédia “Rei Lear”, de William Shakespeare (1564-1616), da Cia. Extemporânea (São Paulo/SP), rendeu à Alexia Twister um feito histórico: o prêmio de melhor ator pela primeira vez concedido a uma drag queen. Com temporada concorrida no Sesc Consolação, na capital, e sucesso no Festival de Curitiba este ano, a montagem traz os elementos da dramaturgia shakespeariana clássica para a linguagem drag contemporânea, sem que nem uma nem outra se desfigurem no processo. A peça imagina um mundo drag queen em que os eventos e conflitos são norteados por essa estética. Assim, a personagem principal é uma “mama drag” e suas filhas disputam o poder.

Outro a levar o prêmio de destaque nacional no Shell, desta vez em 2025, é “A Força da Água”, do Pavilhão da Magnólia (Fortaleza/CE), com dramaturgia e direção de Henrique Fontes (Grupo Carmin/RN). O grupo lança mão do teatro documental para tratar, de maneira bem-humorada, de fatos apagados da história do Brasil em torno da indústria da seca até o tempo presente.

Artistas conhecidos do público por seus trabalhos em TV, Paulo Verlings e Carolina Pismel, da Cia Teatro Independente (Rio de Janeiro/RJ), companheiros dos palcos e da vida, participam com dois espetáculos. Em seu primeiro monólogo, “Baseado em uma História Real”, dirigido por ela e com texto dele, Verlings interpreta Agenor, um legista de meia-idade cujos segredos mais sombrios são ocultos por trás de uma fachada impecável. Já em “Caravana Alucinada”, com dramaturgia de Jô Bilac e direção de Paulo de Moraes (Armazém Companhia de Teatro/RJ), a dupla compõe o elenco ao lado de Kênia Bárbara, Jefferson Melo, Júlia Marini. Livremente inspirada na Carreta Furacão, a peça estreou em junho na Caixa Cultural Rio de Janeiro e conta a história de artistas itinerantes que se caracterizam como figuras populares dos quadrinhos e da TV como Betty Boop, Popeye, Ursinho Pooh e Fofão, animando festas pelo subúrbio e interior do país.

Experiências imersivas que exploram de diferentes maneiras a conexão e interação com o público estão garantidas em produções como “Floresta”, do Agrupamento Andar 7, e “Floresta Invertida”, com direção artística de Eliana Monteiro, ambas da cidade de São Paulo. Inspirada na obra teatral “Os Cegos”, de Maurice Maeterlinck, a primeira propõe uma jornada em realidade virtual (VR) em que o público é levado a se perder em uma floresta misteriosa, enfrentando a dualidade entre escuridão e luz interior. A segunda é uma intervenção cênico-musical itinerante que investiga as camadas invisíveis da cidade: os rios canalizados, as memórias soterradas, as emoções reprimidas. Constrói uma experiência imersiva a partir da fusão da dramaturgia, visualidade e sonoridade.

Teatro para as infâncias

“Operilda Cai no Choro” (São Paulo/SP)

Criações para as crianças, “Operilda Cai no Choro” (São Paulo/SP), texto de Andréa Bassitt, intérprete da protagonista, e direção de Regina Galdino, e “A Viagem de um Barquinho”, do Pavilhão da Magnólia, trazem narrativas instigantes que dialogam com todas as idades. Em “Operilda”, a história do chorinho é contada, cantada e tocada ao vivo, de maneira lúdica e divertida. A obra foi indicada como melhor espetáculo infantil ao Prêmio APCA 2024, da Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte. Já a adaptação cearense do clássico do teatro brasileiro escrito por Sylvia Orthof, que completa 50 anos em 2025, tem direção de Miguel Vellinho, um dos mais reverenciados nomes do teatro para as infâncias no país.

Olhar para Rio Preto

Com o compromisso de fomentar artistas e grupos locais, o FIT Rio Preto 2025 lança o olhar para os mais variados modos de fazer teatro, dança e performance na cidade por meio de 13 obras. Nessa perspectiva, o evento realiza uma iniciativa inovadora nesta edição: a plataforma de desenvolvimento da cena rio-pretense, com o intuito de incentivar a circulação de projetos por diferentes estados e no exterior. Durante o festival, grupos e artistas terão a possibilidade de participar de rodadas com curadores internacionais e de diferentes pontos do país para mostrar seus trabalhos.

Na programação de espetáculos, figuram desde companhias longevas às novas gerações. Entre os destaques está a estreia nacional do espetáculo que celebra os 35 anos da Companhia Azul Celeste, “Aquele que Tem os Pés Inchados”, classificado como uma travessia cênica inspirada no mito de Édipo, em que o herói trágico dá lugar ao errante contemporâneo, perdido entre destinos, algoritmos, obstinado na busca desmedida de si.

“Bitita – Para Não Esquecer”

O teatro negro para crianças é contemplado pela companhia Cênica com “Bitita – Para Não Esquecer”, montagem inspirada no livro “Diário de Bitita”, obra da escritora e poeta brasileira Carolina Maria de Jesus (1914-1977), publicado postumamente, em 1986, que destaca, sobretudo, as percepções e sentimentos de infância da autora.

Da nova geração, o bailarino e diretor Mayk Ricardo traz dois trabalhos. No espetáculo “Tenha Cuidado! É o Meu Coração”, parte da biologia do coração (órgão vital que simboliza os sentimentos afetivos e bombeia vida ao corpo) para desenvolver uma reflexão poética e crítica sobre os atravessamentos estéticos, políticos e sociais que marcam os corpos negros. Com a performance “Outros Navios: Danças para Não Morrer”, propõe um levante afetivo contra as estruturas de poder responsáveis pela subalternização da população negra. Já o Coletivo de Artistas Passarim de Palco chega com “Angústia”, solo atuado e dirigido por Daniel Neves, também responsável pela adaptação do romance de Graciliano Ramos publicado em 1936. A peça mergulha nas profundezas da mente de um homem em conflito consigo mesmo e com a sociedade ao seu redor.

Teatro Lambe-Lambe

Reunindo 12 espetáculos de diferentes regiões do Brasil e da América Latina, a Mostra Internacional de Teatro Lambe-Lambe se dará de forma itinerante, pelas 10 regiões da cidade entre os dias 19 e 21 de julho. Com curadoria e produção de João Darte e Guilherme Hernandes (Varanda Teatro), o recorte apresenta temas como liberdade, amor, diversidade de corpos, migrações e meio ambiente. São obras como “80.000.000”, com Tiago Luzoli, do coletivo Contos de Colmeia (Extrema/MG); “ConCordis – o Coração Lambe-Lambe”, de Nina Vogel (Carazinho/RS); “Emiliano”, com Dico Ferreira, da Tato Criação Cênica (Curitiba/PR); “Ensaio para a Liberdade”,  de Laura Correa, da Cia Mútua (Itajaí/SC); e “Petit Pierre”, de Manu Vilagra, do coletivo Manu Madera Viva (Chile).

Linguagem genuinamente brasileira, no teatro lambe-lambe espetáculos de curtíssima duração acontecem dentro de uma caixa cênica: um artista manipula os elementos enquanto um espectador por vez espia por uma abertura.

Ponto de encontro e oficinas

O Complexo Swift será ponto de encontro do festival, batizado de “Rolê do FIT”, proporcionando um ambiente de troca de ideias entre público e artistas. Ao longo do evento, o espaço receberá atrações de diversas linguagens, feira de artesanato e praça de alimentação. Novidade desta edição, o “Rolezinho do FIT” oferecerá um dia inteiro de atividades para os pequenos, agendado para o dia 20 de julho, das 10h às 20h.

Já as oficinas possibilitarão o contato com fazeres artísticos de criadores participantes do FIT, contemplando públicos diversos. A divulgação da programação dessas ações, bem como a abertura de inscrições, será realizada nos próximos dias.

O Centro Cultural Sesi Rio Preto será um dos espaços com programação de oficinas neste ano, envolvendo artes cênicas, bonecos e formas animadas e artes visuais. Também oferecerá produções para crianças e montagens de Núcleos de Artes Cênicas da cidade e de Ribeirão Preto.

A edição 2025 do FIT Rio Preto conta com o apoio do Plaza Avenida Shopping e a parceria do Sesi São Paulo.
